Not everyone wants a sender to know if they've opened and read their email. Your email recipient doesn't have to send a read receipt if they don't want to. Toggle it off to disable the ability completely. An option called Send Read Receipts can be found here. ![]() Protect your privacy and set your email program to “Never send a read request” so your activities are not reported back to headquarters. Just because the other side wants to know when you receive or open an email in no way requires that you acknowledge that request. If you have to let your sender know, you can always reply the email and said you read it. Unfortunately, as far as I know, if you declined to send a read receipt the first time, it just won't send it anymore. Can you send a read receipt after clicking no? (This means if the sender asks, you won't see the pop-up, but senders will receive a confirmation that you received and read their email if they asked for it.) Never send a read receipt.
